Boral Solid Timber Flooring Adelaide

Direct stick timber flooring Adelaide

Direct stick timber flooring is a process where the timber is glued directly to the sub-floor. The sub-floor can either be traditional strip flooring, plywood, structa floor or concrete. If the sub floor is a concrete floor, the moisture content must be below 5.5% prior to installation or problems will occur.

Acclimatisation

When using solid timber you must acclimatise the timber to the room environment for a minimum of 10 days, preferably two to three weeks before installation. Once installed, we need to acclimatize again for another two weeks before sanding and polishing the floor.
